Leaving a legacy in your Will to support community empowerment, development, and sustainability is a deeply meaningful choice—and one that can have lasting impact beyond your lifetime.
Include our Charity or Project into your WILL
Through a gift in your will – also known as a legacy – you could give families and deprived communities here in the UK and those in the third world countries especially Africa a reason to smile.
Information you need
Your free will writing guide makes sure you have all the information you need to hand, whenever you are ready to continue. Writing or revising your will is easy and straightforward, and it’s just as easy to include a gift or legacy donation to help the world’s most deprived communities including children.
You will need to use the following information as written below for your gift to reach us:
Charity Name: Family Empowerment Network International
Charity Address: G10 Tottenham Town Hall, Town Hall Approach Road, London, N15 4RY
Charity Registered Number: 1123695 (England and Wales)
Remember Family Empowerment Network International in your will and you too can leave a life transforming legacy.
1. Define your charitable intention
Choose your focus: e.g., education, poverty alleviation, community projects.
Decide whether to support a specific project, or a multi-cause projects with structured flexibility.
2. Select the structure of your gift
You can choose from several types of legacies:
* Pecuniary gift: a fixed sum of money
* Specific gift: an item or asset (e.g., property, shares)
* Residuary gift: a percentage of your estate after other bequests
* Reversionary gift: assets first go to a loved one, then the charity later
* Residuary gifts often grow with inflation and are flexible.
3. Ensure legal clarity & flexibility
* Clearly state the full name, address, and charity registration number of our charity as a beneficiary to avoid confusion or complications. Our charity full name, address and registration number here below.
Charity Name: Family Empowerment Network International
Charity Address: G10 Tottenham Town Hall, Town Hall Approach Road,
London, N15 4RY
Charity Registered Number: 1123695 (England and Wales)
* Include fallback provisions or alternate charities, in case your primary choice ceases to exist—courts may apply the cy‑près doctrine otherwise.
4. Understand tax advantages
* Charitable gifts are exempt from Inheritance Tax.
* Leaving 10% or more of your net estate to charity lowers the standard 40% IHT rate to 36% on the balance
* This can increase what goes to your heirs and to charity, while reducing tax.
5. Draft or update your Will
* Use a solicitor or qualified Will-writer familiar with charitable legacies to ensure your wishes are binding and tax-efficient
* If you already have a Will, a codicil can be a simple way to add your gift—but starting fresh may avoid inconsistencies later.
6. Add a non-binding Letter of Wishes
* This document accompanies your Will, giving guidance to executors on your preferred charitable projects.
* Offers flexibility and privacy, and allows you to adjust your intentions independently from the Will itself
7. Engage with our charity in advance
* Let our charity know your intention helps us prepare the best long-term use of funds
* It also enables tailored arrangements, especially for our charity trustees managing legacies across multiple projects.
